Feeding Lives Together: Supporting Individuals Affected by Food Insecurity

Here at Heath Insurance & Financial Group, our priority is to provide peace and protection to our community’s most vulnerable neighbors. Our primary focus is to address the impact of food

insecurity amongst individuals and families in our local area. For the next three months, our agency will support Golden Harvest Food Bank to achieve this ambitious goal. We believe its mission closely aligns with our agency’s commitment to helping our community live well and thrive. 

Golden Harvest Food Bank is a non-profit dedicated to making the future brighter for our neighbors in need. Since opening its doors in 1982, this organization has served nutritious meals to those who need it most in 25 counties scattered across South Carolina and Georgia. Through its loving staff and volunteer efforts, a combined total of 12.5 million meals are distributed to almost 300,000 families each year. 

Food insecurity may not always be obvious, but it’s all around us. Golden Harvest Food Bank offers a lending hand to all faces of hunger in their community, but they can’t do it alone. There are several opportunities to help make an impact, including Food & Fund Drives, Volunteering, Attending Events, and access to Partnership resources.
