My name is Mickey Gooding, and I am a Licensed Insurance Agent with Heath Insurance & Financial, bringing more than 36 years of experience in the insurance industry to the clients and families I serve.

I grew up in the Batesburg–Leesville, South Carolina area and, after high school, spent a year attending school in Florida. My insurance career began on the underwriting side, where I worked for Seibels Bruce Insurance Company for eight years. That experience gave me a strong foundation in risk evaluation, policy structure, and carrier guidelines—knowledge that continues to benefit my clients today.

What I enjoy most about working in insurance is meeting new people and navigating the challenges that come with helping individuals and families find the right coverage. The industry is always evolving, which keeps the work engaging and rewarding, even after decades in the field.

Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my family and grandkids. I also enjoy working in the yard, shopping, and taking advantage of opportunities to go snow skiing. On weekends, you’ll most likely find me out shopping or enjoying time with the people who matter most.
